About derma roller system for hair loss:
The derma roller is a small, handheld device covered with multiple tiny surgical needles. When rolled over the skin, the derma roller creates hundreds of microscopic wounds. These tiny wounds activate the body’s healing system (hemostasis-inflammation-proliferation-tissue remodeling). Stem cells and growth factors rush to the site of the trauma, healing the area and awakening dormant hair follicles.
A 2013 randomised, controlled medical trial demonstrated that using a derma roller in conjunction with minoxidil resulted in significantly greater hair regrowth after 12 weeks when compared to minoxidil alone (+91.4 vs +22.2 hair count respectively). Click here for more information.
