Has DONALD TRUMP had a Hair Transplant?

Donald Trump hair transplant

Entrepreneur, reality TV star, and now president of the United States. But the most impressive thing about Donald Trump has got to be his hair. For years, people have speculated what’s going on with it. Is it real? A wig? A hair system? Or, has Donald Trump had a hair transplant? Let’s get to the bottom of this once and for all.

Donald Trump’s hair through the years

Before becoming the crazy-haired guy we know and love today, Donald Trump’s hair was actually pretty normal.

Trump hair 1991The far-left photo above, taken in 1964, is the baseline. In the years to come, Trump’s hairline appears to get lower despite his hair getting thinner.

The obvious explanation for this is that The Donald simply started parting his hair lower down – i.e. that he has a combover.

But further investigation appears to defy this explanation. This photo – from 1991 – appears to suggest Trump’s hairline really is that low.

So, either this is the most gravity-defying combover the world has ever seen, or Trump’s hairline has got lower with age – which is surely impossible, right?

Donald Trump Propecia revelation

Trump’s physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, recently broke patient-doctor confidentiality rules by revealing that Donald is taking Propecia.

If you don’t know, Propecia is a prescription drug used to treat hair loss. It works by blocking the hair loss-causing hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

However, it’s common for Propecia to cause side effects.

But it does work pretty well for hair loss. This could explain how Trump – a man who turns 71 this year – has managed to maintain such a great head of hair.

However, Propecia doesn’t explain the freakishly low hairline.

At best, Propecia will maintain any existing hair. But it can’t cause new hair to grow half way down a man’s forehead – as appears to have happened to Donald Trump!

That article: microcylinders

In it, the authors suggest that Trump’s unique barnet is the work of Mr Edward Ivari – ‘specialist’ in non-surgical hair restoration.

The Ivari method is essentially just a fancy weave. Artificial hair is woven into the existing hair to create the appearance of density:

“The threads are then attached end-to-end in concentric circles over the client’s head. The circles of thread are then anchored to each other by separate threads, which radiate from the center so that the underside of the resulting hairpiece resembles a spider’s web. The client’s natural hair is attached to the hairpiece by forty to sixty separate threads. Each of those threads is attached at one end to the web and at the other end to a tiny metal clamp around a few strands of natural hair at the scalp. Every few weeks, as the natural hair grows out from the scalp, the hairpiece loosens on the head.”

The cost of this service? $60,000 – plus monthly maintenance costs.

And this explanation does go some way toward accounting for the weird style:

Donald Trump hair in windTrump needs to keep his hair long – and with multiple partings – to make the thinning areas appear more dense.

And this photo of Trump shows a head of hair that looks strikingly similar to the situation above.

The wind appears to have lifted Trump’s fake hair to reveal the very sparse growth to which it is attached.

But, it could just be the lighting.

I know, I know, it’s got to be a wig, right? But there are numerous examples of Trump appearing to let people inspect his hair, for example:

Surely one of these inspections would betray the truth if Donald Trump was wearing a wig?

And if it was a hairpiece, Donald Trump must have remarkable confidence in its undetectability – why else would he let so many people touch and inspect it?

You can even see this photo to see it in all its high resolution glory.

If it is a weave, it’s an incredibly well disguised one – at least in this photo.

Has Donald Trump had a hair transplant?

So, the $64,000 (though probably more!) question: has Donald Trump had a hair transplant?

At Celeb Hair Transplants, we’re often quick to accuse celebrities of getting surgery. With today’s procedures, it’s possible for famous men (and women) to get hair transplants without anyone noticing.

Donald Trump hair 1988But Donald Trump’s bizarre style predates modern FUE hair transplant methods.

He’s been rocking the shredded wheat multi-direction super-combover ever since the 80’s.

And while hair transplant surgery did exist in those days, it was nowhere near as sophisticated as it is today. All the money in the world wouldn’t be enough to create a natural looking result.

Of course, that’s not to say Donald Trump’s hair looks natural.

However, hair transplants in those days created a famously ‘pluggy’ look that he simply wouldn’t have been able to hide.

What’s more, Trump’s hair has been pretty consistent over the years. Bizarre, yes. But consistently bizarre.

If he did get a hair transplant, you’d expect to see some difference before and after.

The shocking truth about Donald Trump’s hair

Get ready for the most shocking of all explanations for Donald Trump’s hair: it’s real.

Unbelievable, I know.

But it does just seem to be a very weird style.

I mean, it’s like it’s swept backwards but forwards at the same time. The mind boggles.

Donald Trump hairstyle instructions

Of course, it’s not an easy look to achieve, as The Donald himself explains:

“OK, what I do is, wash it with Head and Shoulders. I don’t dry it, though. I let it dry by itself. It takes about an hour. Then I read papers and things […] OK, so I’ve done all that. I then comb my hair. Yes, I do use a comb. Do I comb it forward? No, I don’t comb it forward. I actually don’t have a bad hairline. When you think about it, it’s not bad. I mean, I get a lot of credit for comb-overs. But it’s not really a comb-over. It’s sort of a little bit forward and back. I’ve combed it the same way for years. Same thing, every time.”

If you’re still not convinced, consider this: Donald Trump is a billionaire. He could afford literally any hair loss treatment in the world. If he really was losing his hair, don’t you think he could afford something better?!

  1. This is my hair, I don’t wear wigs.

  2. He’s probably had scalp reduction surgery. A bald spot basically cut out and the rest of the scalp stitched back together.

  3. This explanation doesn’t explain the baffling bald spots revealed by winds in recent videos. Nor Ivanka’s description from Michael Wolfe’s book. Nor, why it is, that despite decades of ridicule, this ridiculous man continues to sport this ridiculous hairdo. The explanation for THAT part seems to be that he has a very, very unattractive underlying head/scalp, with an unusual hair growth pattern and/or scars, whether from surgery, or. . .hell, I don’t know. If it was simply natural pattern baldness, there are are easier and more convincing solutions.

  4. I think his ego is too big to admit that he’s going bald. If he went for a transplant, people would find out about it. Lots of bald men still have some at the front, that’s how, with an elaborate comb over, he can cover the bald area and still look like he has hair growing from his scalp in that photo.

  5. Three reasons why it’s surgery: (1) The photo taken on the steps of Air Force One while the wind was blowing revealed that Trump is completely bald by his rear collar, even where most men have a “horseshoe”. This may be a donor area for hair transplants. (2) Trump has a solid hairline above his forehead, which he has invited people to touch, but the curvature is all wrong. The side vertexes are in a very unnatural spot, indicating flap surgery. Flap surgery is when they cut your scalp, rearrange it, and stitch it back together like a baseball leather. (3) Trump’s ex-wife Ivana says in her book that Donald had hair surgery.

  6. Completely irrelevant but I want to stand up and be my own person, and go against what people in my culture often think. I love President Trump. I think he has done an amazing job
