Have you noticed your favourite celebrity has more hair all of a sudden? A lower hairline? Or just thicker hair in general?
You’d be surprised just how many celebrities have had hair transplants!
After all, for many it’s their job to look good. Money’s no object for them. And recent advances in hair transplant techniques mean the procedure can be done without anyone noticing – well, almost.
Hair lines don’t creep forward by themselves. Bald spots don’t shrink naturally. So how do celebrities do it?
Wigs, concealers and, of course, hair transplants. Below is a selection of celebrities who have possibly used hair transplant surgery to maintain a full head of hair.

What is a hair transplant?
A hair transplant surgery is when hair follicles are moved from one area of the scalp to another.
It’s not fake hair. It doesn’t fall out after a year. And it grows like normal hair does.
In other words, it’s completely natural. And top surgeons can create results that look completely natural as well.
There are two main hair transplant methods: Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).
With FUT, a section of scalp is cut from the back of the head. It is then divided into separate follicles which are transplanted into the bald areas. This leaves a distinctive scar which is a dead giveaway for many celebrity hair transplants.
But the modern FUE technique is more difficult to detect. Individual hair follicles are extracted one at a time and transplanted into the bald area. The scars are so small as to be virtually undetectable – even with short hair.
FUE is minimally invasive and doesn’t even require general anaesthetic. It’s so simple that even celebrities with minor hair loss are getting ‘top up’ hair transplants just to maintain their existing hair!
